Doula is the Greek word for ‘woman of service’. A Doula provides support before, during and after childbirth.
Demand for Doula’s is currently soaring due to a sever shortage of NHS midwives. A Doula 'Mother’s the Mother', enabling her to have the most satisfying and empowering time during pregnancy, birth and the early days of motherhood.
With one-on-one care throughout labour, women tend to have fewer medical interventions, feel better about their birth, relate better to their babies and have fewer problems breastfeeding.
As a qualified Doula, I aim to provide the emotional care and practical advice necessary to prepare for what you would like your birth to be, as well as help prepare you for the unexpected.
